Interlochen Arts Academy is the premier destination for male dancers. Our year-long male dance program offers an immersive experience where students hone their skills, build camaraderie, and prepare for a future in dance. From advanced technical classes to dancer-specific conditioning, Interlochen provides male dancers with everything they need to reach new heights in their art form.
Unparalleled Performance Opportunities
Dancers participate in several productions throughout the year, including two full-length story ballets and mixed repertoire performances, allowing you to showcase your skills and progress in an environment akin to a professional ballet company.
Technique and Partnering Classes
Master your craft with specialized male classes. Refine your virtuoso technique and artistry to meet the demands of today's male dancer. You’ll also learn the art and skill of pas de deux, with dedicated classes focused on partnering techniques and graceful coordination.
Dancer-Specific Conditioning
Access our state-of-the-art gym facilities and attend semesterly seminars on bodybuilding, strength, and conditioning specifically designed for dancers. Develop the strength and agility needed to excel on stage.
