Collaborative Piano Faculty Dr. Hyemin Kim will take us on a captivating musical journey across time and styles, from the elegance of Austrian Viennese Classical music, through the depth of German pianism, to the colorful textures of French Impressionism, and culminating in the evocative and expressive sound world of contemporary American composer John Corigliano. This diverse program explores the richness of Western music, from the Classical era to modern-day innovation.
As the Schubert Special Award Winner at the Internationaler Wiener Pianisten-Wettbewerb in Vienna, Austria, Dr. Hyemin Kim has performed at prestigious venues across Korea, Europe, and the United States, including Carnegie Hall and Wiener Konzerthaus. In-demand as both a soloist and chamber musician, Kim has collaborated with the Philharmonische Solisten Bratislava, Archi Chamber Orchestra, and Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra, and has worked with distinguished musicians in diverse musical settings, showcasing her versatility and broad musical expertise.
