Strasbourg National Opera Studio Assistant Conductor Matthew Straw leads the World Youth Symphony Orchestra in an expressive program of works that spans from the classical era to the present. Under Straw’s baton, the ensemble will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Claude Debussy’s La mer, and the Michigan premiere of Bobby Ge’s “Sighting the Swallow” (commissioned in partnership with the New York Youth Symphony).
