Roselee Blooston's (IAC/NMC 69, IAA 69-70) novel “Trial by Family” was a gold medal winner for Best Regional Fiction in the 2020 Independent Publisher Book Awards.
Liza Grossman (IAA 82-85, IAC Fac 99-14) teamed up with Tommy Shaw of Styx to create a new rendition of the band’s 1977 hit “Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)” for the Contemporary Youth Orchestra. The work and accompanying video were released on July 7 to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of Styx’s album The Grand Illusion.

Charlie Carver (04-07) stars as Huck in the Ryan Murphy-produced series Ratched, which is based on the character Nurse Mildred Ratched from the 1975 film adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The series premieres on Netflix on Sept. 18.
