Why Take Organ
Complex and versatile, the organ continues to inspire today beyond its traditional place within the church. Our summer program lets you expand your knowledge of this fascinating instrument with the guidance of our stellar faculty, robust curriculum, and performance opportunities.
What You'll Learn
Our program is specifically designed for the experienced organist or pianist. You'll receive individualized attention from instructors, who will tailor their lessons with your needs in mind. Our curriculum may include:
- Weekly organ and piano lessons
- Daily organ seminar
- Music theory
- Choir
You are welcome to attend both summer sessions.

Program Highlights
Performance Opportunities
Performance opportunities include weekly recitals in our gorgeous Dendrinos Chapel and Recital Hall, which boasts our recently refurbished 50-rank Reuter concert instrument. Take a 360-degree tour of Dendrinos.
The Music Center
Our state-of-the-art 60,000 square-foot music facility has two 3,500 square-foot rehearsal halls, two recording studios which allow for rehearsal and performance recordings in multiple venues on campus with multiple ensemble and practice rooms, and individual faculty teaching studios. Additional Opportunities
Interlochen is home to the Arts Academy boarding high school, which offers six music programs for grades 9-12, as well as a post-graduate year.
As an organist, it's hard to come by programs as great as the one here. The thing Interlochen has that a lot of programs don't is countless opportunities. All of my teachers here are so kind and talented, which is hard to find in one teacher, let alone a whole campus.
