Program Highlights

Performance Opportunities

Students perform during master classes, in the studio, and in ensembles, and can even compete in the concerto competition. The Opera Workshop provides the opportunity for students to sing solos, participate in small ensembles, and sing in chorus scenes. The workshop then culminates with public performances.

Distinguished Faculty

You have the opportunity to work with individuals who not only teach at Interlochen, but also at top conservatories around the globe. Our instructors are active participants in the music world. They are thoughtful, supportive, and are eager to help new voices grow.

The Music Center

Our state-of-the-art 60,000 square-foot music facility has two 3,500 square-foot rehearsal halls, two recording studios which allow for rehearsal and performance recordings in multiple venues on campus with multiple ensemble and practice rooms, and individual faculty teaching studios. Learn more about The Music Center.

Additional Opportunities

Interlochen is also home to the Arts Academy boarding high school, which offers six music programs for students in grades 9-12, as well as a post-graduate year.

Interlochen has been one of the most significant and life-changing experiences for me. I have learned more about singing in these last few weeks than I have in my entire life. Doing what I love every day makes every day feel so wonderful that I look forward to the next one.
