Arts Academy faculty members selected as Frost School of Music ‘Super Teachers’
Dr. Leslie Dunner and Dr. Cynthia Van Maanen will participate in four-day, all-expenses-paid experience including class visits and conversations with students, faculty, and administrators.

Two Interlochen Arts Academy faculty members have been invited to participate in the 2025 Frost School of Music Super Teacher Weekend.
Arts Academy Orchestra Conductor Dr. Leslie Dunner and Instructor of Music Composition Dr. Cynthia Van Maanen are among a small cohort of ‘super teachers’ from across the nation hand-selected by the Frost School of Music faculty to take part in the event. ‘Super teachers’ are chosen based on their exemplary pedagogy and the inspiration they provide to both their students and other teachers.
The four-day, all-expenses-paid event will take place at Frost School of Music in Coral Gables, Florida from Thursday, March 27 to Sunday, March 30. During the weekend, attendees will learn more about the programs and areas of study at Frost by meeting with students, faculty, and administrators and attending rehearsals, classes, and forums. The weekend will also include opportunities for participants to get to know each other—and the Frost faculty—and to provide feedback about Frost’s programs.
