On Sunday, Aug. 4, Interlochen Arts Camp will celebrate the culmination of its 97th season with the annual performance of “Les Préludes.”

A highly anticipated Interlochen Arts Camp tradition since 1928, “Les Préludes” unites musicians from the Camp’s three high school instrumental ensembles and the Interlochen Summer Dance Ensemble for a powerful multidisciplinary performance of Franz Liszt’s 1848 tone poem. Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Music Director JoAnn Falletta will conduct this summer’s production—becoming the first woman to ever lead the Camp’s perennial end-of-session swan song.

The 97th performance of “Les Préludes” will take place at the Interlochen Bowl on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 7:30 p.m.; attendance is free, and tickets are not required. The performance will also be streamed at interlochen.org/webcasts and broadcast live on Classical IPR.
