Festival 2022

Interlochen Arts Academy’s end-of-year multidisciplinary showcase of student performances and presentations will take place Wednesday, May 25, through Friday, May 27, on the Interlochen campus. Friends of Interlochen around the world can tune in to select performances at interlochen.org, and those in the area can attend the free performances in-person. A full schedule can be found here.

As in previous years, Festival will showcase student work from across the Academy’s arts disciplines: creative writing, dance, film & new media, music, interdisciplinary arts, theatre, and visual arts.

Highlights this year include original songs performed by singer-songwriter students; performances by the Arts Academy Orchestra, Choir, and jazz ensembles; readings by creative writing students; and a musical theatre showcase performed by theatre majors. The Festival Visual Arts Exhibition includes some of the finest work across mediums by Academy Visual Arts students in grades nine through post-graduate. In addition to an exhibition in the Dow Visual Arts Gallery, there will be several installations and collaborative pieces happening around campus.

Tickets are not required for admission to Festival events held in Corson Auditorium, Kresge Auditorium, MTCAL, and the Dow Center for Visual Arts Gallery. Tickets for events held in Harvey Theatre, Dendrinos Chapel, Phoenix Theatre, DeRoy Center for Film Studies, and the Music Center can be obtained in person at the respective venue prior to the event. For those wishing to attend in person, current Covid-19 guidelines are available on the Interlochen website.
