Improve your flute performance by focusing on a structured approach to enhancing breath control and finger agility, in addition to improving your sight-reading and improvisational skills.
Throughout this four-week course, you'll engage in practical exercises designed to improve various technical aspects of your flute playing. The course begins by focusing on achieving diverse tone colors and mastering the high register. You'll then tackle more advanced technical exercises, including rapid scales, arpeggios, and trills, enhancing your breath control and finger agility. From there, you'll work on improving sight-reading skills, mastering complex rhythms, and playing from memory. The course also explores improvisation techniques, emphasizing motivic development to create cohesive and expressive musical improvisations.
By the end of the course, you'll have developed greater confidence and musicality, equipped with more advanced techniques to improve your flute playing.
What you will learn:
✔ Achieve diverse tone colors, maintain flexibility across the flute's full range, and improve high register playing
✔ Play rapid scales, arpeggios, and trills with precision and control
✔ Develop effective strategies for sight-reading complex rhythms, maintaining tempo, and performing from memory with confidence
✔ Improvise using motivic development concepts, including repetition, alteration, transformation, and variation

- Completion of Flute Methods 2, or equivalent knowledge and/or experience.

Upon completion of the program, you will receive a physical certificate and a shareable digital certificate.
