Voice for Beginners 3

Learn more advanced vocal techniques to help you sing with more power and precision.

Building on the approaches taught in the first two courses in this series, this four-week course is designed to address issues with vocal tension, breath control, and inconsistency in your dynamics. You'll learn how to release unnecessary strain in your throat, with a focus on the role of the tongue, jaw, and soft palate. Through the appoggio breathing technique, you'll develop proper breath support while maintaining a relaxed throat.

The course teaches you how to improve dynamic control through balancing breath pressure, resonance, and space in your throat. You'll learn how to achieve better airflow precision, including how to engage your vocal folds efficiently and release tension in your upper register. Armed with these techniques, you'll then explore approaches to developing a strong artistic brand and build your online persona as a musician.

By the end of the course, you'll have the skills to sing with more freedom and consistency, ensuring that your vocal performance is both powerful and effortless. Armed with a series of practical exercises for your voice and insights from the course, you’ll be prepared to tackle vocal challenges and confidently pursue your music career. You’ll also have a strong sense of your artistic identity and how to present yourself effectively in the digital music landscape.
