About Andrew
Andrew Millstein is the Co-President of Blue Sky Studios, known for movies like Ice Age following Disney's merger with FOX. Previously, he was President of Disney Animation Studios and Executive Vice President and General Manager, overseeing all business operations and production for the Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disneytoon Studios. He was part of the team responsible for revitalizing Disney's feature animation divisions with such theatrical hits as the Golden Globe-winning Frozen, which has broken Disney Animation box office records around the globe, Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, Big Hero 6, and the Disneytoon film franchises, Fairies and Planes.
Millstein joined The Walt Disney Studios in May 1997 as a Production Executive in the Motion Pictures Group. He was promoted to General Manager of Dreamquest Images and The Secret Lab, Walt Disney Animation Studio’s digital division that produced the special effects for such films as 101 Dalmatians, Reign of Fire, Snow Dogs, Kangaroo Jack.
Prior to joining Disney, Millstein served as head of production for Digital Domain and Executive Producer at Image G.
A native of Philadelphia, Millstein received a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Haverford College, and was a master’s candidate in Cinema and Anthropology at USC. He currently holds memberships in both ASIFA and the Visual Effects Society, and is a trustee for the Colburn School.
