About Anne
Anne Stanton is one of the co-founders of the National Writers Series and currently serves as its executive director. Founded in 2010, the National Writers Series is a year-round book festival that has hosted more than 250 authors in Traverse City, Michigan, including New York Times bestselling authors, McArthur "Genius Grant" winners, and National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize winners. Most National Writers Series events take place in the gorgeous, historic Traverse City Opera House. Anne is also the editorial director for Mission Point Press, a Traverse City-based firm that provides a full slate of editorial, marketing and design services to independent authors.
Anne previously worked as an investigative reporter for daily and weekly news organizations, writing award-winning stories of human drama and resilience. She also served as researcher/editor for two New York Times bestselling books. Anne received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts degree in journalism, graduating from the University of Michigan.
