About Brittany
Brittany Adams currently teaches Spanish at Interlochen Arts Academy. Adams attended Michigan State University where she received her B.A. in Spanish and specialized in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. She spent one year at the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador for almost three years. Adams earned her M.A. from Central Michigan University, and has worked with the migrant farmworker population in the area for 15 years.
Teaching a world language requires the ability to integrate as much of the culture as possible within the confines of the classroom and the surrounding areas. Immersion in the target language is essential along with creating a comfortable learning environment.
