About Brittany
Brittany Verner joined Interlochen in 2018 and oversees or supports a variety of institutional projects on behalf of the President, with a particular focus on supporting the ambitious goals of Vision 2028. Verner represents the President’s Office both internally and externally. As board liaison to the Interlochen Board of Trustees, her primary responsibility is to help cultivate a highly engaged and effective board experience for all trustees. Verner is responsible for the planning and execution of board meetings while staffing several board committees.
Prior to joining Interlochen, Verner served as the Public Affairs, Board, and Strategic Initiatives Manager at the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments (CDCA), the largest nonprofit licensure testing agency for dental and dental hygiene candidates in the United States. In that role, she supported the CEO and Board of Directors by systematically improving and upgrading their systems and processes, assisting in the preparation and facilitation of their strategic planning retreats, and was pivotal in the implementation of new projects in the areas of student outreach, membership training, new technologies, and systems as well as the restructuring of the organization’s two largest annual meetings. Prior to her time at the CDCA, she worked in marketing and social media for organizations in the Chicago area. She is an honors graduate of the University of Michigan, where she studied Communications and Spanish.
Her love for the arts began in early childhood when she began participating in numerous choirs and musicals, as well as taking piano lessons. Now that she is at Interlochen, she enjoys the many opportunities she has to see student artwork and performances.
