About Colleen

As a photographer, digital, and fiber artist, Colleen Higgins maintains a vigorous multidisciplinary studio practice as well as an active teaching career.

Her work has been shown at various galleries and museums both nationally and internationally. In 2013, Higgins graduated with her B.F.A from Adrian College, where she was also a competitive figure skater. She later graduated with an M.F.A in photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2016. After graduating, she moved back to Cleveland where she started her own studio, Colleen Higgins Studio, a creative space for her photography, digital, and fiber arts practice. During quarantine, Higgins taught herself to sew, and her most recent work combines her love of photography with her love of fabric. She is also well-known for creating memory stuffed animals out of loved ones' clothing.
