About David

David "DQ" Quiñones is a successful and humble individual, radiating warmth and making people feel instantly familiar. As a world-class hitmaker, he has collaborated with legendary artists like Beyoncé, Brandy, BTS, Demi Lovato, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo, JLo, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and The Pussycat Dolls.

Having studied music education, classical voice, production, and engineering at the Conservatory of Shenandoah University and Berklee College of Music, Quiñones's passion lies in supporting fellow singers and songwriters. Whether producing in the studio or coaching on shows like America's Got Talent, he draws on his musical prowess and casual-cool charm to bring out the best in artists.

Quiñones credits his success to collaborations with like-minded storytellers and creators. He co-founded "The Writing Camp," a collective for songwriting, publishing, and music entertainment, with his longtime friends and mentors Evan "Kidd" Bogart and Erika Nuri-Taylor.

His strategy for success is "Hits before splits," emphasizing the importance of shared accomplishments over individual gains. Currently residing in Nashville, Quiñones focuses on mentoring and developing the next generation of artists and hitmakers, bridging the gap between Music City's storytellers and LA's top-40 music scene.

Quiñones's initiatives also include the creation of an all-inclusive entertainment company that supports veterans and fosters connections between established and aspiring industry professionals. He envisions this company, with a 10-year plan, being predominantly run by veterans through hands-on education and internships.

Quiñones’s motto of Art Over Ego is reinforced by his beliefs that collaboration is key and the only ego in the room should be the song. He encourages artists not to let their egos hinder their creativity, reminding them to keep writing great songs and avoiding complacency.

I empower and encourage everybody to be their authentic selves. The world doesn’t need another copy cat—it need the one and only you.
