Don Dixon
About Don
Don Dixon was born in North Carolina in 1978, and grew up in a household with a seven-foot tall robot that looked after him and his sisters. His father moved them to California and created robots for companies like Atari and Worlds of Wonder. At the age of 15, Dixon received a full scholarship to Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan. Dixon says, “It was here that I began to take my art seriously and dive into learning more about fine art as a practice.” He attended Savannah College of Art and Design, then completed his education at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit,Michigan. He has worked for WMS Gaming in Chicago, Green Grass Studios in Texas, Ignition Entertainment, and the VeggieTales TV show. He has worked on films such as The Book of Life, Free Birds, Rockdog, Sherlock Knomes, Ugly Dolls, and Scoob. He is a published children's author and in 2022 he was the winner of Reel FX Animation Pitch Competition. He currently works at Honeycutt Inc. as a motion graphics Designer.
