Elizabeth Elvidge Nelson
About Elizabeth
Elizabeth comes to Interlochen after many years as Library Director at an independent school in New Canaan, Connecticut. An Interlochen Arts Camp alumna, Elizabeth began her career as an opera singer, transitioning to education and library services when she began teaching at a boarding school. She is committed to lifelong learning, and enjoys home renovation, dogs, and Lake Michigan. She keeps a home in nearby Petoskey.
Knowledge is power. Being able to find, interpret, and synthesize information is a key skill for all learners. Helping students and faculty understand that efficient, effective research is one of the keys to academic success is the most important part of my teaching. Being skilled digital consumers allows credible information to inform our decisions.
