Hoisington's early career in the music industry saw him traverse from major label Epic Records to artist management for Mos Def, Santigold, and Spank Rock. He specializes in production programming, musical direction, and playback.
After nearly two decades in New York City, Hoisington moved back to his home state of Michigan, where he resides in Traverse City. He enjoys making music that his wife and daughters can dance to.
There is no blueprint for teaching music production, as it is based on creative individualism and a delicate balance of old rules and ever-evolving technology and roles. It is not a singular application, but rather it is the culmination of many skill sets that can be applied in different areas across the music industry. It is paramount to me that young students experience these numerous possibilities, and gain a perspective of how they could shape their career.
