About Krista
Krista Williams (Kristina Corcoran Williams) is a dramaturg working in New York City. She is currently serving as the Playwrights Program Manager at The Juilliard School and is developing multiple projects for the stage and screen. She has developed plays with over a hundred playwrights, including many whose work has been acknowledged with Pulitzer Prizes, Academy Award nominations, MacArthur Genius grants, Obies, and Whiting, Susan Smith Blackburn, Herb Alpert, Lucille Lortel, and Drama Desk Awards. She has previously served as Roundtable and Casting Director at The Lark, as Literary Manager of off-Broadway company Transport Group, and as the Literary Associate at Yale Repertory Theatre. She has had multiple award-winning adaptations and abridgments produced off -Broadway. She has also worked in New York with New Dramatists, Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Play On! series, The NY Musical Theatre Festival, New Georges, Invisible Dog, Dixon Place, Page 73, TCG, and Primary Stages, and regionally with Denver Center Theatre's New Play Summit. She has developed new work at SPACE at Ryder Farm and at Hedgebrook, and she has been a participant in artEquity's facilitator training. She has been a guest lecturer at The New School -School of Drama and at Hunter College. She has been a contributing writer to CHANCE and YALE magazine. She serves as a nominator and reader on many national and international panels. She is also a trained intimacy coordinator. A proud alumna of Interlochen Arts Academy, she currently lives in Brooklyn with her two children.
