About Kristina
Kristina Godfrey Nichols has been working at Interlochen since 2000. After spending two summers on the dance faculty she moved into an administrative role in the fall of 2001, and has served in a variety of capacities including administrative support, Director of Instructional Programs for Interlochen Arts Camp, Assistant Vice President for Education Programs and Services, and Assistant Vice President for Camp Programs. She is also an alumna of both Interlochen Arts Camp and Interlochen Arts Academy. Working with the arts division directors and other leaders within the institution, Kristina coordinates all aspects of the Interlochen Arts Camp, as well as educational budgets, accreditation and licensing. Prior to returning to Interlochen, Kristina was the Assistant Director of the Blue Valley Montessori School, and served on the faculties of the Somerset Ballet Centre and the Kansas City Art Institute. She graduated as the valedictorian of her class at Kansas City Art Institute with a B.F.A. in Fibers, and received her M.A. in Arts Administration from Goucher College. She is a classically trained dancer and musician, and is an active member in the Grand Traverse region as a performer and choreographer, small business owner, and a registered Music Together director/teacher.
