About Lisa

Lisa Mayer is the founder/owner of The College Audition Advantage (tcaa.website), a year-round training platform for musical theatre performers and dancers. TCAA helps train students for their musical theatre aspirations as well as prepare them for musical theatre college auditions and other upcoming auditions (dance as well). 

Mayer performed on Broadway/The West End/Off Broadway and in national tours for over 20 years. Some of Mayer's credits include: CATS at the Wintergarden Theatre; Carousel at Lincoln Center Theatre; Beauty and the Beast (Belle) at the Kennedy Center and Palace Theatre; The Fantasticks! (Luisa) at Sullivan Street Theatre; Thoroughly Modern Millie at Minskoff Theatre; Kiss Me Kate at Martin Beck Theatre; Wonderful Town at Hirschfield Theatre; Women of Broadway at Carnegie Hall; the national tour of Fame the Musical; Chicago in The West End; Jekyll and Hyde-Jenny Hawkins, Regional; and Harmony at La Jolla Playhouse. 

Television credits include; Conan O'Brian, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, The Tony Awards, and numerous commercials. Recordings include: Lost in Boston, Unsung Musicals, Carousel, and Wonderful Town. 

Mayer has taught at the University of Michigan in the prestigious musical theatre department and was the Artistic Director of the Toledo Ballet for over 15 years. Mayer also is a judge for Showstopper Competitions and is a master teacher traveling the U.S and beyond, sharing her wealth of knowledge across the globe. She coaches ballet dancers for Youth America Grand Prix and other competitions, and has had many top-placing (1st-12) dancers for over 14 years.

I create a warm and welcoming environment for all dancers of all levels and backgrounds. Students thrive in the inclusive environment, while bringing hard work, dedication and a lot of fun into the classroom.
