About Lisa
Lisa A. Sheppley is the Executive Assistant to the President at Interlochen Center for the Arts, where she has also been a camper, counselor, and unit leader. When time allows, she also enjoys freelancing as a trumpet player.
Sheppley has served the presidents of Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, Maryland, and served under Music Directors Marin Alsop, Yuri Temirkanov, and David Zinman at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, where she was Director of Education. She has assisted two music directors on tour in Europe, once as Assistant Tour Manager and Special Assistant to Maestro Yuri Temirkanov and once with the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra as Assistant to Maestro Marin Alsop.
Sheppley holds two master's degrees from the Peabody Institute in trumpet performance and music history and has also completed accredited training at the National Center for Construction Education and Research in core competencies and construction site safety, and has completed her core competencies in communication skills, construction math, blueprints & drawings, material handling, employability skills, and hand and power tools. She is working toward her construction technology certificate at Northwestern Michigan College.
