About Robert
Robert M. Carnochan currently serves the Frost School of Music as Director of Wind Ensemble Activities, Music Director/Conductor of the Frost Wind Ensemble and Professor of Conducting in the at the University of Miami. In addition to overseeing all aspects of the wind band program, Professor Carnochan teaches graduate conducting and wind repertoire. Prior to his appointment at the Frost School of Music, he served as Professor of Music and Director of the Longhorn Band at The University of Texas at Austin for 13 years. Dr. Carnochan has also served as Associate Director of Bands at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Director of Bands at Northeastern Oklahoma State University, and Associate Director of Bands at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Dr. Carnochan began his professional teaching career as Director of Bands at Dundalk High School in Baltimore, Maryland���a position he holds near and dear to his heart.
