About Sloane

Dr. Sloane Artis is the Director of Musical Theatre/Assistant Professor at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Previous positions were Music Director at the Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts; Adjunct Professor at Saginaw Valley State University; and owner of Artis Voice Studio in Detroit, Michigan. Artis is a proud member of NATS, where her students regularly place in the top three at the state, regional, and national levels. Known for her vivacious teaching and coaching abilities, students of Dr. Artis are performing with contracts across the country including: Texas Outdoor Theatre Festival, Cedar Point, Canterbury Farms and many more. Artis has performed with companies such as Detroit Opera, Music Academy of the West, and internationally with Lyrique en Mer in Belle-ile, France. She proudly serves at Interlochen Arts Camp as a music director in the Theatre Department.
