About Soroush

Iranian pianist Soroush Sadeghi is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at Indiana University Bloomington Jacobs School of Music. He is a Graduate Assistant in the Chamber and Collaborative Music Department and works under the tutelage of esteemed instructors Anne Epperson, Kevin Murphy, and Aram Arakelyan. Additionally, Sadeghi serves as a Ballet Pianist for the Jacobs School of Music Ballet Department, playing for classes taught by Michael Vernon, Sasha Janes, and Christian Claessens.

Before moving to Indiana, Sadeghi established himself as an accomplished collaborative pianist at various universities, music schools, and music festivals in Iran. He collaborated with the Tehran Opera Ensemble on several projects, including Hansel and Gretel, Les Miserables, and The Sound of Music; and performed with different large ensembles and orchestras, including the Tehran Symphonic Orchestra, under the baton of conductors Alexander Rahbari.
In addition to his performance career, Sadeghi has released two albums. His latest album, From Italy to Persia, was recorded in 2022 by ARS Produktion and features collaborations with oboist Aryan Gheitasi and has been marketed in Europe, Japan, and the United States. Oblivion, recorded in 2019 by Raha Music Production in Iran, is a collaborative effort with the Tehran Quintet and won the Silver Medal in the 2020 Global Music Awards for "Best Album" and "Best Ensemble."

Sadeghi has also had the opportunity to participate in master classes with renowned pianists Rohan Da Silva, David Kaplan, and Christiane Karajeva. Furthermore, this summer, he has been selected for the Collaborative Piano Fellowship at Operation Opera 2023, California State University, Sacramento, and invited to participate in Source Song Festival 2023, Minneapolis.
