About Sue

Sue Buzzard is a violinist with an eclectic background in classical, jazz, folk, and improvisation. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, she earned a B.M. in Performance and Professional Music from the Berklee College of Music, and an Ed.M. in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Combining the best of contemporary and classical worlds, her passion lies in empowering violinists to tap into their skill and creativity.

Sue's professional work focuses on education, live performance, projects, and workshops. She has played alongside Howard Shore, Wyclef Jean, Mark O'Connor, Darol Anger, and many more GRAMMY award-winning artists. As a studio player, she appears on dozens of albums and soundtracks, including the Netflix original series Abla Fahita: Drama Queen, for which she contracted and led the recording session. 

Sue has performed concerts throughout the United States and Canada, and toured Japan, Italy, and Brazil. As an arranger, she creates string quartet versions of beloved film, TV, and anime series soundtracks. As a D'Addario educational clinician, she teaches free educational workshops in schools across the country.
