About Susan
Susan Gedutis Lindsay is the Director of Education at Interlochen Online. She is also a music educator and writer/editor with extensive experience in instructional design and music. Following a position as Director for Instructional Design at Berklee College of Music, she worked as an elementary instrumental music teacher, teaching all instruments and serving as band and orchestra director at four district schools in Plymouth, Mass. For more than ten years, she was the managing editor of Massachusetts Music Educators Journal, the quarterly journal of the Massachusetts Music Education Association, a state chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). She has edited hundreds of books and online courses for publishers including GIA Publications, Meredith Music, Berklee Press, and Berklee Online. She is author of See You at the Hall: Boston's Golden Era of Music and Dance, published in 2004 by University Press of New England. She taught in the Music Department at Bridgewater State University and also instructed private students. She performs on alto and baritone saxophones and flute in several Massachusetts-based jazz, rock, and folk bands. She is currently working on her Doctor of Educational Technology degree at Central Michigan University.
