Sydney Simoncini
About Sydney
Sydney Simoncini is a New York-based filmmaker and educator, teaching film production and media literacy all over the city. She holds her M.A. in art education from New York University and her B.A. in film from the University of Michigan.
As a filmmaker, Simoncini has produced a number of short films, and she loves helping people develop their passion projects. Film is her favorite medium of art due to its collaborative nature and the way it brings people together. She also enjoys working in art direction and production design.
In the classroom, Simoncini wants all of her students to be able to develop their creative voice and hone their technical skills. She loves working with Interlochen students because of their unparalleled ideas and modes of expression.
Born and raised in Michigan, she has a deep love for Interlochen and the community that only summer camp can create. This is her 7th summer working at IAC.
