Sylvia Norris
About Sylvia
Sylvia Norris is an Interlochen Arts Camp alumni and harp instructor for more than 10 summers. She currently holds the position of principle harp with the West Michigan Symphony, the Traverse Symphony Orchestra, and the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra. She has played with the Detroit Symphony as well as held the position of second harpist with the Grand Rapids Symphony for seventeen years. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, she holds degrees in harp performance and music education, and was a student of Eileen Malone. Other teachers include Nancy Allen, Suzanne Balderston and Lauralee Campbell.
