Why Take Stage Management Intensive

Explore the inner workings of the Theatre with guidance from Interlochen faculty. Learn how to prepare, in advance, all pre-production paperwork and how to run a production just like the professionals!

What You'll Learn

Students will develop and access an empathetic approach to stage management and communication, focusing on the techniques of interpersonal communication (written and verbal), collaboration, organization, and production. Topics will include script analysis, document design, rehearsals, and all technical aspects of production. The approach to stage management in this course will serve as the foundation from which to manage any style of live performance production.

As a Stage Management Intensive student, you will:

  • Develop and access an empathetic approach to stage management 
  • Improve written and verbal communication skills
  • Increase production preparation skills through script analysis, document design, and studying the rehearsal process
  • Learn how to run a production efficiently and professionally
