Classical Voice Intensive

Why Take Classical Voice

From Haydn to Heggie, classical voice is dramatic, dynamic, and playful. It's a chance to explore other worlds and life experiences. At the High School Classical Voice Intensive, we'll dive straight into the world of classical singing. Our world-renowned faculty will help refine your skills and prepare you for the next steps of your voice journey.

What You'll Learn

During this one week intensive, you will work with a team of experienced vocal professionals and educators to further your development as a performing artist. You will engage with numerous topics in classical singing including vocal technique, repertoire, style, language, acting, movement, practice techniques, listening immersion, and auditioning skills. You will perform in masterclasses, recitals, and chamber music ensembles and receive individualized feedback and instruction in a private voice lesson and a private repertoire coaching. You will connect with teachers from destination schools, and interact with colleagues who share your talent and passion for singing.

Daily classes include Yoga, Vocal Technique & Practice Skills, Acting and Text Workshop, Chamber Ensembles, Audition Skills, and Studio Class/Masterclass.

This program is designed for the serious classical singer who is ready to progress to the next level.

As a student of the Classical Voice Intensive program, you will:

  • Develop musicianship and build technique
  • Demonstrate effective rehearsal and individual practice techniques
  • Synthesize and apply aesthetic, communication, and organizational skills that are vital to successful performers
