You’ll enjoy daily coachings with expert instructors and collaborate with gifted peers from around the world—while enjoying your favorite summer camp activities.
What You’ll Learn
The Junior Guitar summer program offers a dynamic curriculum designed for students of all skill levels to make visible progress. The program provides instruction in all types of guitar: nylon-string classical, steel-string acoustic, and electric.
As a student in the guitar camp, you will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the fretboard
- Learn improved practice methods and time management skills
- Develop an approach to mastering the guitar’s fundamental techniques
The program’s unique work-at-your-own-pace structure allows you to take private lessons, participate in group classes, enjoy fun camp activities, and play in performances—helping you find the perfect balance of artistic instruction and recreational opportunities.
You’ll enjoy daily rehearsals led by our acclaimed guitar faculty and develop your artistry both on your own and in collaboration with other students. Classes for guitar students include:
- Private lessons
- Performance opportunities
- Applied musicianship classes
- Supervised practice sessions
- Guitar hour
This program does not require an audition and enrolls on a first-come, first-served basis. Perspective students must have six months of guitar experience and the ability to read music. We encourage you to apply as early as possible.
