Advanced String Quartet Summer Program for High School Students
Why Take Advanced String Quartet
Performing in a string quartet offers an entirely different experience than that of an orchestra—it requires additional trust, leadership, and personal accountability. During your time in the program, you'll experience the joy of learning, bonding, and performing with fellow young string musicians in your quartet, in addition to your work in the orchestra.
What You'll Learn
This program is a demanding but thrilling experience comprised of rehearsals, coachings, and performances. Your day will be spent between playing with your quartet and participating in one of our premiere large ensembles: World Youth Symphony Orchestra and/or Interlochen Philharmonic. The curriculum includes:
- Daily quartet coaching
- Daily quartet seminar
- Weekly private lessons
- Master classes with guest artists and quartets-in-residence
Program Specialties
