Program Highlights

Horn Ensemble

Each day, you'll collaborate with your peers and explore diverse, challenging, and enjoyable repertoire through the Horn Ensemble. The ensemble will present a public performance at the end of the session.

Faculty Recitals

One of the best ways to learn about music is to listen to the masters. That's why our faculty present regular solo and chamber recitals. On nights when your faculty aren't performing, you're welcome to attend recitals by the faculty of other institutes.

Master Classes

In the horn intensive, master classes aren't special events—they're daily occurrences. Each day, you'll enjoy a master class with a member of the faculty or an acclaimed guest artist, giving you one-on-one access to some of the world's greatest horn players.

Additional Opportunities

We also offer a six-week summer Orchestra & Wind Ensemble program, which begins immediately following the Horn Intensive. Interlochen is also home to Interlochen Arts Academy, a college-preparatory boarding high school that offers six music majors for students in grades 9-12, plus a postgraduate option.
