The 2017-18 Arts Academy Orchestra.

Nineteen current and former students of Interlochen Arts Camp and Interlochen Arts Academy have been selected to the 2018 National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA).

Current Arts Academy students David Schonberger, Jakob Schoenfeld and Amelia Abouljoud join 15 Arts Camp alumni in the ensemble, comprised of the brightest young (aged 16-19) musicians in the nation as selected by the Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute. The selectees will participate in a three-week residency with professional musicians before embarking on a tour of Asia. The musicians will be conducted on tour by Michael Tilson Thomas and joined by solo pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
