Songwriting for Musical Theatre Intensive
Why Take Songwriting for Musical Theatre Intensive
This class focuses on actors creating a personal songwriting practice. Through the lens of songwriting, we learn a healthy creative outlet and explore the art form from a different perspective. Learning to write, sing, and articulate your own thoughts and feelings can be crucial to find resilience in your life and art. Actors are always inhabiting other writers’ canvases. It is now their turn to write and inhabit their own.
What You'll Learn
You will compose, write lyrics, and have a chance to perform your work. Songwriters will need to realize songs through your own singing voice or instrument. This class is based around sharing our new songs with each other in early stages. We will be singing and sharing new songs every day.
