Yes! Gift cards are available in a range of denominations to fit your budget. Gift cards are non-expiring and may be redeemed online and are available for electronic delivery. You have the option to schedule your gift to arrive at a set date up to four months in advance, giving you the ability to plan for all of your special events at one time.
If you have purchased Ticket Protection, please contact us and request a refund. The easiest way to do this is to email ticketprotection@interlochen.org. You can also call the Box Office at 800.681.5920. Ticket Protection may be redeemed until one hour before the performance. Please note that parking and facility preservation fees are non-refundable.
If you have not purchased Ticket Protection, you still have a few options:
- Gift your tickets to a friend.
- Sell your tickets on a resale site.
- To transfer tickets to another party, email your print-at-home tickets to the individual. If we are holding your tickets at will-call, please let us know that you would like to transfer your tickets and we will be happy to assist.
Our ticket exchange policy allows changes only within the same run of a student performance, and subject to availability. Requests for exchanges must be made at least one week before the scheduled performance. No upgrades or seat switches are permitted, and refunds are not available outside of the purchase of Ticket Protection.
While it is rare, there are times when a performance simply has to be canceled or postponed due to any number of factors, including weather.
- If the performance is canceled, you will be notified by email and phone. Your tickets will be refunded within two weeks.
- If the performance is postponed, you will be notified by email and phone. Your tickets will be valid for the new performance date when it is rescheduled.
- In the event of rain, every effort will be made to complete the performance, including playing in light rain. In the event a performance is cancelled due to inclement weather before a full 60 minutes of the performance and/or intermission, a full refund will be issued. If the performance is cancelled after intermission or 1 hour into the event, a gift certificate will be emailed to you. Gift certificates are non-expiring and may be redeemed for any performance. Since summer precipitation usually moves through northwest Michigan quickly, we will never cancel an Interlochen performance before the scheduled start time due to weather.
- Depending on the method of payment, refunds will be applied to the credit card used to purchase the tickets or we will mail you a check no later than two weeks after the performance date.
No need to worry! If you never received your tickets, please contact the box office at boxoffice@interlochen.org so that we can get your tickets to you as soon as possible. If you have lost your tickets before the night of the performance, please notify the box office of the situation and we will be happy to re-email or reprint your tickets. If you discover that you lost or forgot your tickets on the way to the performance, visit the box office at the venue and we will be happy to reprint your tickets.

Cell phone photography and video is allowed at the discretion of the guest artists and Interlochen Center for the Arts on a show-by-show basis. Please ask an usher before pulling out your phone. Tablets, large cameras with detachable lenses, professional recording equipment, and tripods are not allowed at any time. Interlochen reserves the right to restrict any video or photography that is a distraction for the performer or other patrons.
If you arrive after the performance has started, you will be seated at the discretion of Interlochen management. We work with the artists to determine when late seating is appropriate and will be the least disruptive to the artists and other patrons. Every effort will be made to seat you in a timely manner. However, the nature of some events do not allow for seating after the performance has begun. You will be asked to wait to be seated until a predetermined time in the program and are not guaranteed the exact seat you purchased.
Every show is different! Most classic rock, pop, singer-songwriter, and country artists encourage you to stand up, dance, sing along, and generally “rock out” at your seat. Please feel free to join in. During other performances, and even during some songs, this would not be appropriate. Take your cue from the rest of the audience. If the majority of the audience is seated, you should do the same. Be a conscious citizen and do not impede on your fellow fans’ enjoyment.
Standing on chairs, standing in the aisles, and rushing to the front of the stage is NEVER allowed. These policies are for the safety of everyone in the audience.
Interlochen reserves the right to remove anyone from the audience who is causing a disruption or is acting in an unsafe manner.
As a courtesy to our artists, students, and other members of the audience, please keep noise to a minimum during classical performances. Interlochen reserves the right to remove disruptive persons from our venues.
Come as casual or as fancy as you wish! However, swimwear is not allowed and you will need to wear a shirt and shoes.
You can eat on campus before guest artist performances at Kresge Auditorium. We are pleased to offer options at our grill tent and the Melody Freeze café which offers ice cream and so much more.
