During this one-week intensive, you will work with other talented young musicians, learning from world-renowned oboists and educators.

What You'll Learn

This program will help prepare you for auditions and study at the collegiate level. Our curriculum will challenge you to balance your time, perform with confidence, and learn new methods and technique. The curriculum includes:

  • Master classes
  • Workshops
  • Repertoire (sonata, concerto, etc.)
  • Orchestral excerpts

The Music Center

Our state-of-the-art music facility has two 3,500 square-foot rehearsal halls, two recording studios which allow for rehearsal and performance recordings in multiple venues on campus, multiple ensemble and practice rooms, and individual faculty teaching studios. Learn more about The Music Center.

Additional Opportunities

Students interested in a multi-week, ensemble-based program are invited to also apply to the high school Orchestra & Wind Ensemble program, which begins immediately following this one-week intensive.

Interlochen is also home to the Arts Academy boarding high school, which offers six music programs for grades 9-12, as well as a post-graduate year.
