Act for Art Giving Days to rally support for Interlochen May 4-6
Join fellow supporters and alumni to help make the Interlochen experience accessible for students from all backgrounds.
Last year over 360 donors participated in Act for Art. Mary Eames-Rock was one of them. "My daughter, Karen, graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy and is a collaborative pianist. She now teaches at the Juilliard School in NYC in the opera Master's program as a vocal coach. I believe she has a successful career as a result of her Interlochen education and I'm pleased to offer help to other students by my donation."
Act for Art is our time to come together and make sure the excellence of Interlochen is accessible for students from all backgrounds. Our collective effort matters: this year nearly 1,500 Academy and Camp students received financial aid, all of which was made possible by the generosity of our donors.
Karen attended Camp the summer after her junior year and called home toward the end of her stay to say that she'd learned about the Interlochen Arts Academy. She had been offered admission for her senior year. The family was thrilled to discover the opportunity. "I'm so grateful she's been able to have a stupendous career and I'm sure that the opportunities she's had are because of the training and education that began at Interlochen," Mary said.
Interlochen's second annual Act for Art Giving Days are coming up next month, May 4-6.
Gifts made during Act for Art will provide the transformational Interlochen experience to current and future young artists. And your support is crucial–the majority of Interlochen's Academy and Camp students rely on financial aid to say "Yes!" to their acceptance letters. This is the perfect opportunity to "pay it forward," supporting a new generation of young artists just as Mary did last year.
In addition to the great feeling of knowing that your gift will open up a lifetime of opportunities for young artists, your Annual Fund gift during Act for Art will go even further. Every gift that is made during Act for Art will be matched up to $100,000, thanks to several members of Interlochen's Board of Trustees.
We can't wait to see your name on the Act for Art donor wall. If you're interested in getting involved, we could use your help! Learn about volunteer opportunities and sign up. Please send any questions you may have to our director of annual giving, Stephanie Pierce, at stephanie.pierce@interlochen.org.
