Ways to Get Involved
Our volunteers are alumni, parents, faculty, staff, donors, and friends who are passionate about Interlochen and the arts. As a volunteer, your unique interests and experience are invaluable to Interlochen.
On-Campus Volunteer Opportunities
Every year, hundreds of people volunteer their time to make Interlochen one of the nation’s most remarkable educational institutions. Volunteers are crucial to our success, and we're fortunate to have amazing individuals who want to make a difference. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Leading campus tours
- Welcoming first-time visitors
- Sewing costumes for students performances
- Ushering at concerts and events
- Planting flowers
- Answering phones during Interlochen Public Radio fund drives
- And much more!
If you're interested in volunteering on-campus, please contact our Assistant Director of Employee Engagement & Volunteer Services Jennifer Richards at 231.276.7638 or jennifer.richards@interlochen.org.
Off-Campus Volunteer Opportunities
Those who wish to give back to the Interlochen community but don't live near our "stately pines" can do so from afar. Off-campus volunteer and engagement activities include planning, hosting, facilitating, or attending Interlochen-sponsored events in your area; being a Regional Ambassador; servicing an Interlochen Committee; and much more.
